About
I am a firm believer that learning an instrument should be a positive and enjoyable experience. I have experience teaching pupils with various additional needs, and am happy to adapt lessons to accommodate any special requirements.
I started learning the Tenor Horn age 10 and played in a local brass band. At age 15 I swapped onto the French Horn and progressed to studying at the Royal College of Music for 4 years on the professional Performers Course. At the RCM I also gained the Teaching Diploma, with Honours.
Following my studies, I worked as a professional French Horn player playing throughout the UK and also in London's West End. I have always enjoyed teaching, and when I settled in Oxfordshire I started teaching full time.
I am based roughly halfway between Wantage and Didcot in South Oxfordshire, where I live with my husband, 2 children and 2 dogs.
